On e video that speaks to me is the song Lean on me by KIrk franklin. The reason this speaks to me is because as a teenager we all go through some problems as I have and the song speaks of friends being their to catch you when you fall. I think thats an excellent line and iv'e always been their for my friends and vise versa. The next reason this song speaks to me is because it says "open up your heart to God" and being a seventh day adventist that speaks to me as well that I need to be humble and even through hard times I need to be humble, let go and let God.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to find a video to describe my presonality and in what I believe in I would be stuck between both Reggie Branson's "If Books Could Kill" and Jace Hall's "Hero" on one hand If Books Could Kill represents the inner tortured person inside of me, "Sometimes I wonder how things would change if I had a book that could kill with just a name, would I fly into a rage and write a name on the page or would I hesitate to write a name on the page" to me it shows that life can be hell and I could just lose it and kill anyone who ever doubted me. On the other hand "Hero" shows my gaming side, the side thats always wanted to be a legend, who's named would be discussed through many and featured on the cover of every gaming magazine. I guess I'm a little of both.

When i do that i can imagine scene for every part of the song. For example When kanye says "that don't kill me can only make me stronger" i see myself going through hard times but always being resilence and never giving up. Also that same line make me feel like i can do anything i set my mind to do.

In the last verse of the song j.cole says "I gotta make a move,I gotta do this now if they don't know your dreams then they can't shoot them down" there's times some people would ask me about my dreams and what I want to become and I often give no answer. That line just tells me when im where I want to be(success)then people would figure.

ReplyDeleteThe Song I believe speaks to me is Florence & the Machine Shake It Out, Florence Welch sings about her pains and struggle in this song and how to over come it and the video is people at a ball/dance shaking or dancing all their troubles away and renewing life having a good time without regret. in the song she says " And I've been a fool and I've been blind, I can never leave the past behind, I can see no way, I can see no way, I'm always dragging that horse around. Our love is questioned, such a mournful sound, Tonight I'm gonna bury that horse in the groud". In this part shes saying shes notice she has problem she aint notice today and shes mad but now she leaving the problems behind and moving on. It speaks to me because in the song shes talking about how she keeps regretting but wants to stop and move on with her life and not worry about what may happen or what others may think so shes just going to do it and not regret her choices. I wouldnt change any thing about the song or the video i feel she did a perfect job using words and props to explain the message of the song.

ReplyDeleteThe song i chose was T.I Feat rhianaa Live Your life. The reason i chose this song was because this song has alot of meaning to it. In the video T.I ends up in an akward situation where he is forced to get out of a problem. In order for him to get out of this problem he needs to pay money and he has to get involed in a fight with the memebers. This song inspires me to do better in life. Also it tells me that if we make a mistake throughout our life time we have to pay the consequences for it.

ReplyDeleteThe video that definitely speaks the most to me is home sweet home by Motley Crue. In this song Motley most definitely catches my attention in the start of the song because in the start of the song im able to relate myself to him and this is the main reason why i love this video.In the start of this song Motley sings about how he is a dreamer but yet he has so much obstacles which tried to stop him from his dreams but in the end hes at home sweet home which was his dream after all. As a teenager this is something i can relate to because of the dreams i have and how many obstacles i have to overcome to achieve my dreams
A song that speaks to me is Pray For Me- Joe Budden. in this song he discusses his struggles, his downfall, and his rise. this is a song i can strongly relate to. when i listen to this song it reminds me to keep pushing despite the obstacles i face, and to not give up on my goals. this song gives me peace of mind knowing i am not the only person going through these specific problems.

R.kelly starts of the song by saying "i believe" meaning he has faith in himself to achieve whatever his heart & mind desires,this song can really be an inspiration & influence a young person with low self es-steam , not to give up "spread my wings &fly away" means to me never limit yourself from any option out here ,that can maybe bring you closer to an successful future.

ReplyDeleteIn the song, Knock You Down by Keri Hilson, Kayne West and Ne-Yo, i believe that they speak about love isn't always going to be there for you so don't always keep your hopes up because eventually the one that you think your life partner is may soon be gone for any reason. A song that speaks to me would be Pusha T - Trust You ft. Kevin Gates (CLEAN VERSION). I believe this song speaks to me because not only does it relate to my life but sometimes in life you may believe that your falling for the wrong one, which may be true and you will find out eventually and realize the one that you really wanted was in front of your face and now you have that special someone so you should hold on to her regardless what.

ReplyDeleteOne song that mostly dedscribe my feelings would be Jay-Z Young Forever.I chosen this song because it gives a good view on life.It also tells us that no one could be young forever and to live your life clean,fun,and free.
The song i think describes me is "i believe i can fly" by R Kelly.The reason i say this is because i think every one can make it in life. He states in the song that he thinks about it every night and day to me i think that is the stress in his life but still he can get up and keep on going.I wouldn't change any thing in the song because it is easy to understand.

Keri Helson is talking about this in relationship terms that when things doesnt succeed after allyou worked for and things just break apart and fall down , get back up and try again . And if i happens again you get back up another time. It sees Hilson caught in a love triangle with her former partner West, and new-found love Ne-Yo. So im guessing she doesnt know who to choose because they both are good and i can personally relate to that

In the music video "Knock You Down" by Keri Hilson ft. Kanye West in my opinion the meaning of the music video is when things knock you down in life just get back up and fight it(don't let it keep u from moving on with life).This music video could be based on love and many other life issues.This lyric from the song "Knock You Down" has more than one meaning "when it knocks you down juse get back up" such as a bad break up,or getting fired from a job.When you go through a break up or get fired it could be very devastating but you have to move on with your life and stop stressing the past.

ReplyDeleteThe song that i chose to write about is NAS I can and as we all know NAS is one of the greatest rappers.I specifically chose this song because it Pretains to my life for the reason that i have so many dreams and aspirations that im going to fufill , if i keep this song in my head I feel as though the sky is the limit for me.
